We believe that to create lasting community change building and maintaining strong community partnerships is essential. We have been blessed to be able to partner with other local organizations to help further awareness, goals and missions that are mutually beneficial to our community, our partners and to us.
Swing Into Mental Health — Golf Tournament

Project Pinwheel

The pinwheel represents the happy, carefree childhoods all children deserve. In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month, Helping Hand Counseling has partnered with several local businesses to plant pinwheel gardens around our community throughout April. Domestic Violence Awareness with Help Now
Happened October 2021
October was first declared as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month in 1989. Since then, October has been a time to acknowledge domestic violence survivors and be a voice for its victims. We Partnered with Help Now, a local 501(c)3 organization that provides safety, empowerment, and healing for survivors of domestic violence and influences social change in our community to help bring awareness for domestic violence, its victims and survivors.
Holiday Initiatives
We believe that participating in holiday initiatives help find the true meaning of “giving” and serve to remind us to share our blessings. We can’t think of a better way to ring in the season than by partnering with organizations and events that giveback to our community.
Thanksgiving Day Food Drive
Happened November 2021
We belong to a local Business Connections Group, whose mission is to help local businesses maintain meaningful connections that help develop their business and impact the community around them. This year we participated in a Thanksgiving Day Food drive to provide full holiday meals that included Turkeys and all the sides! Our staff helped facilitate the event by setting up a “food pantry” with all the donations that came in from other local businesses, helped sort and prep baskets and provided the Turkeys! It was quite a bit of work but to see the coordination go from idea to providing full meals for over 30 families ranging in sizes of 3 to 10 was inspiring! We are already looking forward to next year’s drive!
Stocking Stuffer Drive
Happened December 2020
Our clients and staff donated hundreds of toys and stocking stuffers for local children in our community to donate to local organizations that we’re doing toy drives for our community.
Holiday Meal & School Break Food Drive
Happened December 2021
We belong to a local Business Connections Group, whose mission is to help local businesses maintain meaningful connections that help develop their business and impact the community around them. This year we participated in a Holiday Meal and School Break Food Drive to help local families to have a full meal for the Christmas Holiday and provided additional items such as snacks and lunches to assist them during the two-week holiday break.

What We Do
HHCC offers free and low cost mental health services to low income families in our community that otherwise would go without.
Low Cost Help
Clients are given the option to continue services on a scholarship basis of $10 to $25 per session, based on financial ability.
